Entrevista a Anne Bishop

Pode falar um pouco sobre si?
Nesta altura do ano gasto o meu tempo livre no jardim.

O Daemon Sadi é o meu favorito.

Isso reduz as distracções e ajudam-me a manter focada.

Could you talk a little bit about yourself?
At this time of year, I spend my free time in the garden. After writing for several hours, it’s a great way to let the body work and the mind rest.

Of all of your books do you have any character that in some way is your favorite? If you could would you meet that character?
Daemon Sadi is my favorite character. And, yes, I would love to meet him.

Do you have any "weird" habits while writing?
I don’t think so. I write in the same place and listen to the same music while writing a story. That reduces distractions and helps me stay focused. I have a word quota that I meet every day in order to meet my deadlines, and I work for as long as it takes to meet that quota. Those are habits, but I don't think they're weird.

I admit this is a trick question but what do you think about the portuguese covers of your books?
The covers are beautiful. I’m always delighted with the quality of the art and the feel of the actual books.

Since you became an a published author what were the most amazing and at the same time weird thing that has hapenned to you?
Realizing that people know who I am. I’m still getting used to people being excited about meeting me.

What to you think about the bloguers community? Do you think they gave any help for the achievement of the popularity of your books?
I’m sure bloggers telling other people about my books is a big reason why all of them have been published in Portugal. I pay attention to books or authors that friends recommend, and I think that is true for most of us.

And finally do you have any message for your portuguese readers?
Thank you. I’m glad my books have entertained you, and I hope they continue to do so in the future.
